About Our Church

49th. St. Baptist Church is an Old Fashion Baptist Church that still believes in the Old Time Way. We oppose modernism and worldliness in the Church, and hold to the "old Paths" of conservative standards of dress. We teach and preach from only the King James Bible; we believe that it is God's infallible and inerrant, inspired Word of God Preserved for us today in the King James English translation. Our Congregational singing are songs out of the Hymnal, our specials are Christ honoring and uplifting. We have no contemporary services or music. We have uplifting Congregational singing and one of the finest pianist you will find any where. We major on Spirit filled Bible Preaching. We are oppose to the modernistic and popular teaching that is sweeping into the Independent Baptist pulpits that appeases the conscience with no conviction or Salvation for the sinner. The Bible is clear that men will turn from Preaching to "teachers having itching ears", and "be turned unto fables" giving the people what the flesh wants. If you like Bible preaching you will love every aspect of our church. One of our distinctions is that we believe in supporting Missions.
