The Crown College of the Bible
Dear Sir or Madam: As a senior at The Crown College, in Powell, Tennessee, I have been offered the wonderful opportunity to study in the United Kingdom. In addition to completing classes in pursuit of my missions major, I will also be assisting pastors and helping in various churches throughout this beautiful country. Ministry opportunities are available in Great Britain, as well as Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. I am asking the Lord to provide the financial support to participate in this wonderful opportunity. I am seeking to raise $7,000 for this upcoming fall semester. If the Lord would lay it on your heart to contribute, it would be deeply appreciated. I will be leaving for Blake heath England on August 11th, please pray that we can be a help to all those who are laboring in England for the Lord. Sincerely, Cynthia M. Morris
This August my Daughter Cynthia, who will beginning her
fourth year at Crown College of the Bible will be working 4 day's a week
ministering in Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as attending classes 3
days in England. This country has such a great spiritual heritage, such as
our King James Bible, the revivals and great preaching that these countries
were blessed to have. Hebrews 11:37 "They were stoned, they were sawn
asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in
sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Sincerely, Pastor Ray Morris If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or Crown College of the Bible: 1104 W. 49th. Street PO Box 2000 Powell, Tn. 37849 1-877-MYCROWN Anniston, Al. 36206 256-236-7040
The Anniston Star REGION Friday, August 1, 2008 Page 3B Anniston native to do mission work in U.K. BY MIKE FAULK mfaulk@annistonstar.com Saks resident Cynthia Morris’ relationship with God is sending her across the pond to the United Kingdom for a semester of missionary work in her senior year of college. Morris will begin the program Aug. 12 and said she hopes to have seen and learned a lot by the time she finishes in December. “I just want to help and be a blessing to someone,” the 21-year-old Morris said. Morris attends Crown College of the Bible in Knoxville, Tenn., where she majors in missions work. She will study at the college’s branch in England while also traveling to Ireland, Scotland and Wales to do work. She said she is one of 11 people the school selected to participate in the program. Morris said her upbringing played an important role in her desire to serve the church; her father is the pastor at 49th Street Baptist Church in Saks. “She’s always been really spiritually minded,” the Rev. Ray Morris said about his daughter. He said he is happy his daughter has the opportunity and is proud the college saw her as someone with the qualities needed to represent the institution abroad. He said she will learn a lot not only through real mission work but also by teaming up with Christians of other nationalities. Cynthia said after she left for college she attended a mission conference that sparked her interest in doing mission work as a career. She said she felt God pushing her in that direction. “I realized there were so many people around the world who had never heard the gospel,” she said. Morris said she will volunteer for different churches in any way she can while working in the United Kingdom. She said she normally works with children at Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville and is considering getting a double major in youth ministry. This will be her second mission trip. Morris said her first was to Germany for two weeks in the spring of 2005. Morris is still raising the money to pay for her trip, which costs $7,000 in all. So far she has raised $2,000 by working throughout the summer and through the contributions of several churches.
